DS Lite Onyx New Super Mario Brothers (used - judging by the save games, heavily played, but taken care of as the contacts aren't that dirty) Mario Kart DS (used - judging by the save games, apparently played once and then returned) Sonic Rush (new, the last copy they had) Carrying case and screen protectors Refurbished Thick PS2 Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Subsistence Hulk: Ultimate Destruction Nyko 8mb PS2 Memory Card Less than I had planned, but I got some newer games which cost me a few of the cheaper, $6.99 games. Couldn't get KH1 or SotC as they didn't have any in stock. They didn't have Jak & Daxter 1, either. Saw Ratchet & Clank, and I almost went for it. Same goes for Devil May Cry 1 and 3 SE. Gran Turismo 3 was only $4.99. Either way, I am left with $536 for my Xbox 360. The EB clerk unofficially confirmed a 360 price drop may be on the horizon with the HDDVD, Wii, and PS3 looming. Sounded like the price may drop sometime in October or November.

I will also be joining the anal-pillaging of stores when 360 prices drop.

I guess it would be smart to spend the last amount of cash on a 360 and hope that they have some kind of deal where you can trade in your Gamecube and some cash for a Wii.

It's like watching underground console pornography. Or a bad "hacker" film from the 90's. Good choice for a first game, though.

Maybe it's because I'm tired, but Klonoa 2's plot so far doesn't seem terribly interesting and I debate skipping the cutscenes. DBZ Budokai 3 is AWESOME, but also really, really hard. My thumb hurts. Popping in Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, now. Looks brand new, despite being used. There is ONE speck on the disc, besides that, it is pristine. I also just remembered I have a couple of PS2 demo discs from ages ago; one from 2001 with Jak & Daxter and Final Fantasy X on it, and a Dragon Quest VIII demo S-E was giving out for free. Hopefully the DQ8 demo doesn't make me regret passing it up for $20 used at EB

It's worth it not to skip. There are some cute moments, and it sets things up for something interesting.
Don't play if you're tired, though.

I'm not so much playing as I am "trial run"-ing. Testing the waters. I think I'll leave MGS3 be until tomorrow, though.
The DS Lite has three dead pixels, I think. Two on the bottom screen which aren't very noticable, and a bright green one on the top screen.

Re: PS2 Video I guess this is the equivalent of a parent recording their child's first birthday or something? The DS Lite has three dead pixels, I think. Two on the bottom screen which aren't very noticable, and a bright green one on the top screen. That sucks. Didn't the original DS run have a large quantity of dead pixel units though? Fortunately for the dead pixel case, depending on its color, it may spend most of its time "merged out" to the point of practical invisibility.

Umm... I think you're recalling the PSP's original run. As far as I remember, the DS didn't have that many dead pixel problems in its initial run.

Do you by any chance happen to have a GBA Flashcard - or any sort of way to play GBA Roms on your DS physically? If so, I know of a program that MAY work... www.gbadev.org/demos.php?showinfo=1299

Angst <3's Klonoa. Angst <3's Guntz more, but he's not around very much. Bastard. Anything you can do about getting that DS replaced? Is liek tew meny ded pixlz d00d. While mine is a fat model, not a pixel is dead =(. I'd bitch until they replaced it. Or kill them all and replace it myself. Tee hee hee!

I got mine replaced when I found dead pixels on it. Really. I sent it back to Nintendo and they sent me a shiny new one. And a small packet with safety stuff and a oneliner: "I don't know what I should get fixed first: The Nintendo GameCube® or the dog."

You forgot the bit where they play Wipeout as a promotional tie-in.

It's actually one dead pixel. One the top screen. The bottom two were just smudges on my screen protector, which is why they weren't very noticable. Gave DBZ Budokai 3 another play today and it was only hard because I was tired. I breezed through the rest of Goku's "Dragon Universe" storyline today. (Of course, it probably also helps that I went through the entirety of training mode so now I know how to actually fight properly) Goofed around with DS Wifi a bit. Mario Kart says there's one access point, but the signal is pretty weak and it's locked. A second (unlocked!) access point appeared briefly, but it must be even weaker than the other one - it hasn't re-appeared since it's initial appearance, no matter how many times I scan for it. H was right. The Onyx DS lite sure shows smudges. Oh well. I'm paranoid as hell about hinge cracks. I keep looking at my DS Lite hinge expecting to see the San Andreas Fault or something. Though I almost wonder if the new Onyx/Pink DS Lites have hinge crack prevention; there's a little seam on the hinge where, judging by images, most cracks seem to appear at. Perhaps that seam is there to help reduce pressure? You can tell it's not a crack forming, either, it was something put there when the case was manufactured. Sonic Rush is pissing me off. It's really really fun, but there's a lot of really dumb moments in level design where I'm unfamiliar with the layout/gimmick or I accidentally hit jump a moment too late (or too soon!) and I find myself screaming down a bottomless pit. (I'm at Night Carnival with Sonic right now, haven't started Blaze's game yet) I don't really see what's wrong with New Super Mario Brothers. It's pretty much precisely what I expected from it and I guess anybody who was unhappy with it was simply expecting "the perfect game", and instead, they merely got a "very good game" - which dissapointed them, I suppose. Already cleared 50cc in Mario Kart. I don't think there's anything more to say about that. I dread the AI in 100cc and 150cc. Mario Kart DS certainly gave them an intelligence boost. I haven't actually played anything else yet today. I went most of yesterday on 3-5 hours of sleep and I was up nearly 24 straight, between going to my Aunt's and playing my new stuff. I slept a looong time. I guess that's it.
