I have not purchased it yet, but it shows the wiimote as usable so... I dunno what the heck you'd do for the third button, though. I don't have a usable GCN controller right now so I'm afraid to buy it XD

I assume A would be.. A, B would be 1, and C would be 2.

Bomberman '93 is incredibly awkward with the Wiimote because you have to have like both your hands clinging to one side of the controller to move with one hand and hit A with the other. I still have 900 points left and I could buy Gunstar Heroes...is it one of those arcade-y type shooters? Then again, I was thinking on holding off on buying games until next month to see if anything good comes out. But then again again, I am a little kid with tons of money to waste from Christmases past. WHAT IS EIGHT DOLLARS TO ME!?!? I am torn because I feel I ought to get some Genesis game to support Sega's finest console but to be honest the only thing I ever personally liked was...Sonic

Perhaps Gunstar uses the B button, like Tony Hawk and some others.

You know what, since I'm into doing things on a whim lately I'll download Gunstar Heroes tomorrow. If I dislike it I blame you > But apparently Gunstar Heroes is gaining a nice bit of momentum thanks to many people reccomending it for the Virtual Console. How nice.

And Ristar wasn't good?

I think there are a few decent games for the Virtual Console, but most are immediately dismissed because they have A) Been re-released before B) Aren't that popular C) Crappily priced (I think the prices are fair for most, but the sports games. They are quite amusing but $5 each is RIDICULOUS. I like the ones on Animal Crossing though) But the only ones I cannot excuse are people who buy Sonic 1--mainly because Mega Collection can't be hard to find like the Zelda collection. Ristar I could even understand because you have to play quite far into Mega Collection to get it and someone COULD understandably want that and nothing else...whereas I don't see why a Sonic fan would ONLY want Sonic 1, even if it was their favorite. Ehh. Anyway. A good lot of the games on the Virtual Console SUCK, but I don't think they had as weak a launch as they're making it out to be, it's all just down to personal preference. I got Zelda and Bomberman and I will probably get Gunstar sometime tonight with leftover Wii points...Zelda for my Dad and because I never played it, Bomberman and Gunstar Heroes because they just suddenly grabbed me now Meh. I feel that the Wii channels were not made with long-term concern in mind, though--having a seperate channel for each Virtual Console game is going to get unwieldy and eventually I can definitely see myself simply...running out of room. I know you can put things on SD cards but that seems a little ridiculous. Then again, I can't imagine many new types of channels coming out (yet) and I doubt I will really be downloading -that- many games. But I missed the SNES and N64 generations, you know, so I have a lot to make up for. And before I get any "lol emulates" I...just really prefer playing things with a controller. On the TV. Unless they are RPGs or some other type of game built with a keyboard in mind, then I just...yeah SO I WILL BE SINKING A LOT OF MONEY INTO NINTENDO'S PRICEY SYSTEM OF DEMISE

Evan: I don't have a PS2, and not enough money for the collections on 'Cube, so bought Sonic 1 via Virtual Console. I understand your frustration, but there are reasons =P
I was also fucking HYPED when I saw Gunstar Heroes up. Downloaded it, and right after beat the thing in an hour. Fucking righteous.

That's fair enough, too, and merely proves my point. Except I was being a little ignorant, yes The games on the Virtual Console aren't bad, it just seems bad from different points of view. Certain games seem more sense...ful to buy to certain people, some don't.

I downloaded Gunstar Heroes and I'm glad I gave it a chance. The only shooters I like are the arcade-type ones and this is actually quite fun. Not incredibly gripping but something I can pick up and play a bit whenever I feel like it. I'm glad I downloaded it. My only complaint is that when using Gamecube controllers, you have to use the + Pad...which feels a bit awkward until you get used to it.
I love how much is going on on the screen, though, and despite the huge amount of enemies it's not overwhelming at all. Yet.

My memory says that out of 3 genesis buttons (ABC) one was to shoot, one was to jump and the other was to change ammo combos.

Next time I think of it I'll look at the instructions that come with the game and see what they say about the Wii remote's control ...hey you know, about the Wii...? What is the complaints about it being slow with online-ings? The Shop Channel works perfectly fine and the downloads have never taken more than 30 seconds. For me, at least--anyone different? Now, if you were complaining about the 30 second-1 minute load it takes to connect to the shop, (and come on that's not really that long. I understand a complaint about it but it's pretty impatient all the same > ) or the fact that it does take a good while for messages sent on the Wii to show up, like, anywhere...that's one thing but I see more complaints over the shop channel being slow. And that seems...weird to me. The internet has been overall smooth. The Wii messages do take a bit, but it's the incredible amounts of varying time that bothers me more--it can take anywhere from 2-3 minutes, to an hour, to three or four hours. By the way, I don't like that, when downloading games, they blow the amount of blocks the games take up far out of proportion. It's quite intimidating that they put it up that Gunstar Heroes will take away like 50 blocks when it took up like...2?
