Well recently I've been thinking of sorting out my Megadrive and getting it set up again by buying a new RF lead for it and rebuying a few games I foolishly sold back in the day. Plus, I'm gonna try and get me a 32X just for collection's sake and Virtua Fighter. Anyway, my question is, I have a Master System converter for my MD that lets me play MS games (surprisingly). Is it possible to then use a Game Gear converter on that Master System converter as I know where I can get Sonic Chaos very cheaply among various other GG games. So yeah, would that work or would the system explode or something?

I dont see why it wouldent work. You would end up with a huge tower of a game though. Hook it up to Sonic & Knuckles, a Game Genie, and the 32X for the tallest game on earth.

Then hold it against your ear and talk into it like a mobile phone.
Okay, I'm probably eons behind on that one.

It -might- have issues. I do know that the old MD games with added-in chips (such as the Genesis Virtua Racing) were supposed to have issues when run through a 32x. Mind you, I have a vanilla console, so I never -tried- doing that.
Just be careful with that baby! I knew several people whose 32x's broke because of removing and replugging them.

Blues: Yeah, that's part the reason I want it. Sheer amusement value. Mega CD on bottom, Megadrive, 32X, S&K, Master System add on and then the GG add on and game on top - hilarity would ensue =P. But yeah, I'll probs buy it anyway eventually but does anyone have 1st hand knowledge of it working. As I said, I'd rather not blow up my Megadrive EDIT: Just saw Bluetail's reply. Nah, the compatability thing shouldn't be an issue as I don't have any games with added in chips - cheers for the heads up now. But is the 32X really that fragile? Because I mean, my Mega CD is pretty damn durable - then again, it is a black brick.

I'm just reporting what I know. Otherwise one of my friends would still have her copy of Super Star Wars Arcade! I would report if the converter caused problems, but... I don't have one. Shame on me! But as far as I know, 32x's are a wee bit delicate.
I love Virtua Racing.

I used to have Virtua Racing, back in the day before I started madly selling games I didn't play hugely for cash at Gamestation (made sense really) and I recall it being fun but nothing incredible. But for a MD, those graphics were pretty impressive.

That's pretty much what I'm gonna do, Spazz. Great stuff, but your Mega CD is the smaller of the two. The other one is beastly huge which I have

As well, Virtua Racing is the tallest cartridge in the Mega Drive library, if I recall. I used to connect Game Genie, Sonic & Knuckles and Virtua Racing together for the tallest cartridge ever. Too bad it remained blackscreened.

I have both SEGA CD models, and I use the first model, as you can see in the Sonic Swag topic. I also use the first model of the Genesis as well, the Genesis in that picture (the one with the blue light) was just for showing off. =Þ I have the Power Base converter, now all I need are som MS games, a Game Genie, and that Game Gear converter.

Can anyone suggest any 32X games? I'm gonna get one anyway, but other than Chaotix (which I'll never get) and Virtua Fighter there's nothing I know of. Possibleh DooM.

I hear the only other 32X game worth playing is Spiderman, if you can find it..

Virtua Racing DX on it is the best console version of that game (The mega drive was alright, and the Saturn was was awlful). If you had a Saturn, you'd be able to get a better, and cheaper version of Virtua Fighter. Or just get VF2 for it, as that is 10 times better.

Well, part of the reason I want VF is because the graphics on the 32X are so hilariously awesome

Hmm, I think I must've got confused something. Is there even a converter that allows you to play GG games on the MS? As I can only find ones that do the opposite =/

Penny Arcade have touted Kolibri as the finest hummingbird based shooter available for the 32X.
