If Nintendo doesn't get stupid and allows 3rd parties a favorable cut for getting in on their virtual console system, Rev users should be able to get MM64, at least. But I agree, a DS version would make more sense, especially since the Metroid Prime: Hunters "touch to shoot there" would answer a lot of control issues, I think. And as for the PSP... if it's just a straight port, both should've been bundled onto the same UMD. Seems like Capcom has pages for them up now, and the original Dash and BoF3 pages supposedly have movies (they're embedded into a Flash file, and I don't have my decompiler on hand to get the URLs out to GetRight, so I haven't seen them yet... man, being on dial-up is complicated)... www.capcom.co.jp/psp_dash/www.capcom.co.jp/psp_dash2/www.capcom.co.jp/psp_bof3/

I pray that Garr is not renamed 'Garland.'

Well, PSP is obviously gonna be the easier to code so the developers are gonna take the easy route out for a profit.

Well, PSP is obviously gonna be the easier to code so the developers are gonna take the easy route out for a profit. How do you figure? If Rayman 2 DS, Ridge Racer DS, and Mario 64 DS are any indication, it's extremely easy to port N64 games over. Just like it was easy to port SNES games over to the GBA (all most had to do was re-write the sound code for the most part, from what I understand). Therefore, porting Megaman 64 to the DS would be the quickest and most cost-effective; and considering the DS launched before the PSP and, since Nintendogs was released, has steadily outsold BOTH the PS2 AND the PSP (the PSP is actually trailing behind the PS2 in sales in Japan!) it would also make the most sense from a user-base perspective, too. So really, there's no reason it SHOULDN'T be on the DS.

This is true. Capcom have chosen the wrong decision and are throwing their money away on old games being ported to something that has smaller fanbase than what would logically be the right choice to port to.

I do like all the attention MML is getting recently. We might even get a MML3 one of these days.

Why *shudders*? I admit, 2 was a bit boring but the original was a masterpiece.
Then again, where's my Megaman 9, Capcom?

What IS Megaman Legends? Genre, etc? I might pick it up if it sounds interesting...

Basically a 3D action game with some RPGish elements. It's not hugely Megaman related really, but I found it to be a really enjoyable game. Very fun indeed. I love the cartoon style to everything, adds a nice element of fun and general awesomeness to it.

I'd say it's... kind of like Zelda meets Megaman. It is planet earth, and it has long since been covered by a MASSIVE ocean. There are some small islands here and there, but generally we're talking an endless ocean - people live in airships and on the small pieces of land.
You are a "Digger". Diggers explore ancient ruins in search of Refractor Gems. Refractor Gems are basically money. Roll is your "spotter", she stays topside and maintains radio communication with you as you explore. She points out things on your map and generally talks to you about what's going on.
As you play, you find items and money. You can take items to Roll, and if you have the right items, she will build you parts. You can use money to buy pre-made parts, or you can visit junk stores and buy spare items for Roll to make parts from. Parts range from things like helmets and roller skates to new buster parts (rocket launchers and chainguns, etc). Roll can also upgrade your buster parts to carry around more ammo, or have greater range.
It's really quite fun, even if the "Ruins" you explore tend to all look relatively the same.

Sounds like a better version of Evolution (which I heavily enjoyed). Looks like I'll have another PSP game!

Yeah, it's definitely better than Evolution. Evolution was god, but I found it to get boring a bit too quickly - I found Legends much more entertaining.
