The eyes look a little too friendly now. but of course this is just one pic. Sometimes things look better when it's all animated and put togethor.

Didn't Wily talk in a few of the cartoons?

Wile E talked in episodes when he was pitted against Bugs.

Wait...Road Runner's decendent talks in this cartoon?
Geez, even Lil' Beeper said nothing more than "Beep Beep" in Tiny Toons.

What about those sheepdog eps where he was named Ralph?

Ralph the Wolf and Wile E. Coyote are two different characters.

I think Wile E. and Ralph are technically cousins.
Yeah, Wile. E talked in the Bugs cartoons, so that's probably what they'll go for.
On a side note, I was stuck watching regular TV today (usually have satellite accessible, but I was in a different room huddling by an AC because I MELT), and I was pretty disturbed to click around all the major networks (and the others I could check), during the daytime, in summer, and find absolutely no cartoons or shows for kids. I mean nothing. Crap courtroom shows (I hate those), bad soap operas, a stupid low-budget remodeling/makeover show (with a target of $100 for the makeover, and outfits that looked like sheets slapped on those women, they looked better BEFORE the makeovers), and a rerun of some terrible Friends-like sitcom. I know ABC, CBS, and NBC stopped airing cartoons some time ago, but now even FOX and WB have nothing during the daytime. And I remember glancing at the paper at one point and seeing nothing (or next to nothing, can't remember) for the mornings. Cripes, are kids FORCED to turn to cable channels like Cartoon Network and Toon Disney just so they can watch cartoons at some time other than 7 AM, if they even have them at all?
I don't mean to be all "In my day" and bla bla bla, but it's really kind of depressing, when I think about all the fun I had watching the Disney Afternoon and cartoons like that, and the pickings were FAR better on Saturday Mornings. Staying home sick was made groovier by watching cartoons, and certainly summer was a great time to catch up on shows you missed. Now, the kids in families that can't afford cable, are they just totally hosed and forced to watch the most mind-rotting worthless TV imagineable?
Today was really a reminder to me about just how BAD non-Prime Time network TV is. I mean, awful, absolutely low-budget, utter crap. You can still like your Lost and your CSI and whatever, but you have to admit, it's a little depressing to see that they've pushed kids so far aside to show Judge friggin' Judy. "I'm not actually a judge, so I get to bitch at you and make arbitrary decisions!" Even if they got bad cartoons, it'd still be something targetted to them and get them thinking.

Maybe it's a strategy to get kids to go outside and play? Exercise? COMBAT OBESITY!

Yes, I'm sure the people in charge of TV programming have that concern upmost in their minds. They only want what's best for the kids.
Besides, you can't be outside ALL the time. What's wrong with playing a few hours out and about, then coming in and watching TV?

Loonatics -- Because who wants humor when you can have cliche super heros doing cliche stuff in a way that is 'funny'?
They look better.. but.. yeah..
Whatever happened to just being funny?

True, true. Big, powerful television conglomerates are unlikely to cater to the demands of the interest groups out there that're working to prevent childhood obesity. A silly idea that I was just throwing out there. And now, it's "out there." ... But there's nothing wrong with a mix of outside play and then some TV. I hope I didn't say it was wrong, implied or otherwise.

Jeeze. They look worse now. At least before, they had a sense of visual style... but this... it's like they took the original designs and stirred in some Chemical Generic.
Either that, or the artist who drew the promo art sucks a lot of ass.
Pretty much, yeah. Saban stopped airing weekday-morning cartoons and weekday-afternoon cartoons long before 4KIDS bought FoxKids. The only block of cartoons on Network TV in the afternoon is KidsWB, and that's largely Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon Reruns (just like Saturday Mornings! Whee!).
You can kind of attribute Cartoon Network to it. In America, most people have cable. Cartoon Network offers up cartoons any time you want them. This means afternoon cartoon blocks and even Saturday Mornings are becoming worthless - who needs to stay awake on a Saturday Morning when you can watch cartoons any time of the day, any day of the week?
The only thing keeping Saturday Mornings afloat, I think, is WB. WB has a very close deal with Cartoon Network, and has flat out demanded CTN change their schedule so it wouldn't draw viewers away from KidsWB. Remember the brief run of Toonami: Rising Sun? That was slain by KidsWB, because it was taking a lot of viewers away and WB didn't like that. Hell, look at Miguzi. Miguzi sucks. Re-runs of 4KIDS.tv and KidsWB tv shows coupled in with a couple of shows with a small handful of new eps. I wonder if that was WB's doing, too?
I miss Afternoon Cartoons too. Now I'm stuck with syndicated re-runs of Malcolm in the Middle, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and The Drew Carey Show from 2pm-6pm. It blows.

Actually, despite wither you think the Miguzi block sucks or not, it is getting high ratings for Cartoon Network--especially with the female demographic where KidsWB usually misses.
Also, I predict by next year 4Kids TV will lose several more affiliates and in the next 5 years or so, there won't be any cartoons on Network TV except for the E/I crap.

... The new designs would not necessarily be bad if they had someone -decent- draw them. It looks like fuggin' fanart. Hell, I've seen better fanart! Feh...
Go for: the original designs, but have them be decendants. That way the original characters aren't totally raped, and we get an evil freak bunny to scare children with. Whoo!
I think they look more disturbing with pupils. Pupiless doesn't always look evil.
Americanized anime or animation trying to -be- anime... is icky.

It still looks abysmal EDIT: In fact, they looked better before. At least then I could laugh at how hilariously extreme they were.

Okay, maybe I don't recognise Animé style unless it has extremely clichéd expressions or gigantic eyes with several different reflections and colours, but I honestly can't really see where Animé influence is comming into this, in either design.
