Except the PS2 and PC versions share servers while the 360 version only has its own set. So you'll only be playing with other 360 users.

Yup. Which is a shame, but the PC version wasn't discounted, and unless I installed it to two different PCs (or possessed a laptop), porting it between broadband and playing Single Player at home wouldn't be easy.
Does anyone else here have the 360 version, or is it all PC/PS2?

From what tons of people at PSO World said...The PC version isn't protected. You can just download the game from some torrent site and then buy a Guardian Liscense and play. There is no cdkey protection at all.

Hm... well, I'm not interested in pirating so much, but I am already buying a legitimate version of the game.
Does a license work between all versions of the game? Would my inventory carry over OK?

No. You'd need two accounts with thier own characters. One for 360, one for PC/PS2. I do question how much one would be stealing though. You can't play the pc version without signing up for a hunter's liscense anyways, which means paying money to SEGA. And if you've already bought another version well...that just makes it all less technically illegal right there.
I miss my PS2. (I don't even have my own computer. I just post here from public computers or a friend's)

And I have the 360 version Ku but I don't know if I should bother going online with it until they update it with something fancy.

I can't even stand playing it to be honest. Probably is the controls and the awkward appearance of people in town. They walk like fucked up robots. Also, is there any bloody way to launch the game without gameguard because I'm still on dialup and can't be arsed to go online just to start this game. Not to mention when I try to alt-tab to disconnect it closes the game automatically since its fucking stupid like that.

I haven't heard of any hacked PSU .exe's to disable GameGuard yet, but you can emulate the GameGuard server on your PC to play without an internet connection. But that's a kind of complicated process I didn't figure was worth going through.
