Question: Which is the biggest waste of a "comedic" comic series in the newspapers? or or something else which fails at being humorous?

My theory is that Marmaduke is a hilarious three panel comic, but they only show you the second panel.

I love that even Fox Trot ripped on Family Circus. It does eat up so much space in my local paper. "An' granpa sends me kisses from heaven!"
I started hating Sally Forth when it seemed like it was ripping off concepts recently done in other comics (just a few days after Zits has a comic about Googling oneself, Sally Forth has something extremely similar? And there was another example or two that made it really seem odd for a coincidence.) That and they're always drawn with that same damned facial expression on everyone all the time, no matter the dialogue. It's like a comic for zombies who lack facial control.
And Flo and Friends generally just seems like a waste. I can't imagine even old people finding it funny. I almost think they'd find it depressing/insulting in some respects.
I like 9 Chickweed Lane a lot, but many people don't; I appreciate the art and design most of anything, though, I recognize that it usually isn't that funny. (At best, mildly amusing.) But damn, the artist can draw.

Cathy seems as though it might be funny for someone who isn't me. Family Circus occasionally has ones that I'll smiles at a bit, if not actually laugh.
Marmaduke just makes me want to cry.
Edit: Wow, MAJOR brain lapse there.

The Pajama Diaries. Seriously, this is one that I've seen pop up in some newspapers recently. It's just... not funny... I don't know what it is.

Old, religious ladies probably like Family Circus. They probably find it "sweet".
Nobody likes Cathy. She's fat. She whines. She's not funny.

The Family Circus is 'cute.' It is not, in any way, funny.

Family Circus has that one comic about a child molestor every ten years. I'm not sure what that counts for, but there you go. ETA: There's also this.

If your newspaper carries "Born Loser" that's a horrible comic.

for Better or Worse or Dilbert both adapted into shows that are pretty universally agreed to be boring but the intros were really cool

I never knew For Better or Worse had an animated series.
And I really liked the Dilbert cartoon.

And I really liked the Dilbert cartoon. As did I. It wasn't quite as great as the comics, but it was still good.

Sylivia sucks. Mallard Filmore is written by a moron. Garfield is worn out and should be put down. Peach Fuzz and Van Von Hunter should be euthanized, too. It's the only way. Red and Rover makes me want to vomit. Prickly City confuses me because I can never tell the political standpoint of the person who writes it.
Umm, that's all I can think of right now.

9 Chickweed Lane. The gal drawing it tries to be all artistic and stuff, but it comes off as dull and her jokes make me embarrased for even looking.

... I like some Cathy strips. It's not 'lol' grade humor, but it's better than some of the crap they print XD mind you, I don't read comic strips too often due to not recieving the paper anymore.
If you want to bitch out Cathy, at LEAST get the strips made to sell stuff for the postal service. Those SUCK.
And yes, people who regulate every damned thing they eat like that are tedious. It'd go better if she had some facial expression, but heeeey~
