Oh WHAT THE FUNK. That's... kind of a short notice. But okay. I'll let you guys know if I'll be able to make it, but I don't rate the chance all too high.
And ok, so registration ends in two days, but when does it actually start, now?

The event starts July 3rd. And short notice? Registration has been opened for like...a month! LOL

Yeah, but I never saw a "REGISTRATION HAS OPENED" topic around here - not everyone here visits SFGHQ. ;P
EDIT: Oh crap. Just asked around at work, and it's gonna be quite a crappy week for me to take up free days. Two of my collegues are not gonna be here for a while, and as long as they're gone, I can't. Thing is, no one's sure when they'll be back, as they're busy on an assignment elsewhere. If they're finished with it in time, they'll be back, and then I'll be able to take the week off.
So.... I just don't know yet... T_T

H, why don't you contact me via AIM? I might be able to do something for you if you contact me before the 25th.

Aside from the fact that I can't use AIM at work, I think it's allright now. I probably will be signing up after all (I'll check once I'm at home wether I can pull it off for sure), and I'll know for sure by next Tuesday if I'm gonna be able to take the week off. But if not, then ahwell - that's no reason for me to not do anything, right?
So all in all... I've got some better hopes now. Sorry to be such a drama queen. XD

I didn't know none of the team had mentioned it here. I thought we did a SAGE post already <.< ( www.sagexpo.org has all the details so I figured that since there was a SAGE post (but apparently there wasn't any), most would of had some sort of warning) I'll see about arranging some sort of extension for the mooglers (Won't be more than a day or two, so get it in ASAP). I'm sure it won't be too much of a problem since I'm in charge of registration anyway. I'll see what I can do =O

I doubt I'll make it because in order to do anything fancy I'll need a month's advance notice, but for the others (like H) it should be cool. Thanks for the consideration and effort!

Y'know, while I'm aware of the fact that this happens all too often, as well as being guilty of it myself, working on your fangame can be done all year round, not just a month before SAGE begins. ;P

The fan game community will eat you alive. They only <3 in-game screenies and demos. Tread lightly <.<

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind whenever I apply for the next SAGE.
To spice up the topic, anything interesting this time around?

Going to sit this one out. Last time burned me pretty badly, and I haven't put work into anything since anyway.

For further reference, can some Mooglers here who visit SFGHQ PLEASE let us know ahead of time when SAGE registration opens? I think that's really the job of the person organizing SAGE to reach out to the community as a whole. The MC contains what I feel to be a big part of the heart of that community, and I think you and Smidge have recognized that in extending the registration date. However, I find it rather disappointing that absolutely no effort was made to apprise us of the fact that SAGE had been condensed to once a year and moved to the summer. (Don't get me wrong, I think that was a good idea.) And we ere only notified of the date of SAGE two days before the original close of registration. I don't mean any insult to SFGHQ, but it seems to me that these two board have sort of grown apart. There isn't really the tight-knit sense of community that there once was between them. For many reasons, there doesn't seen to be as much as a crossover in membership. But we're still part of the same overall community, even if we now seem to be different niches in that community. I just think it would be a nice gesture, and I think would improve SAGE, if whoever is organizing SAGE made a greater effort to inform the community as a whole.

To be fair, I do remember something being said about combining the SAGE dates, and we haven't exactly been the easiest forum to follow/reach lately.

I just think it would be a nice gesture, and I think would improve SAGE, if whoever is organizing SAGE made a greater effort to inform the community as a whole. I agree completely. To be honest, I really thought we DID make a post here. But apparently, we were incorrect or something like that. But do understand, we've been rather busy ourselves. Having been viciously attacked by a hacker, we've been busy rebuilding SFGHQ, setting up SAGE -AND- doing things like arranging the arrival of Ben Hurst. During all this, I guess confusion arrosed and we ended up posting everywhere but here. We brought a lot of new communities into the promotion of SAGE and all the things going on, I guess we just didn't realize that there'd been a miscommunication and nothing ever showed up at the MC. Also, as Ku said, it's not exactly the easiest board to reach lately =P It's also possible that we made an announcement on EzBread just before it was wiped, because I could of SWORN we made a hype post at moogle a month or two ago, but I guess we're either wrong or it was swallowed. The entirety of the SAGE staff apologizes sincerely for this, extending the registration date was the best we could do at this point in time. We wish we could give more than the 6 days but we need time to prep for the event and we can't exactly push the SAGE event forward because: A: We already set up Mr. Hurst's appearance B: I'm leaving the country about a week after SAGE C: Many people are expecting it to be there, a massive amount of promotion has already been done for the july 3rd-9th date. (We've pimped ourselves out to a lot of other communities this time) D: It'd require a lot of work to change everything. Sorry guys =/ Someone, somewhere fucked up. Could of been me, could of been GD, could of been Smidge, could of been EzBread, could of been a lot of people or a combination of several. Either way, we must apologize for this, it wasn't supposed to go down like that.
