I'm currently in the process of making a mod for Half-Life 1 that turns it into side scrolling fun. I have dubbed it "Half-Life: Side Missions." Pun intended. It's in really early stages. Here's a little teaser! instant.gunsha.com/sidemissions/side-life_v2b.avi

Hope the camera acts as more of a sidescroller, like perhaps the camera looks ahead of the player. Also, I want more enemies shooting at Gordon from the background. I always love that sort of thing.
Rocket launhers shooting at destructable wooden platforms would be cool.

Ooh, way cool. You should release the source for this when it's done so that it'd be easier to homebrew 2.5D games.

I see a little of "Thursday" in there. ;D
And actually that looks pretty good for something early. The camera's too close on the first (and possibly third) shot, but the second sequence with the helicopter is great.

They had something like this for Quake, but the Quake one had HORRIBLE level design. Still, lookin' good!

Long ago I had a similiar mod for Quake 1. Turned it into a 3D port of Giana Sisters, which in turn was a plagiarised version of Super Mario Bros. for the C64.
