At least you aren't using something like 2400-bit like I was before then.
Several hours just to download a 4 meg file. Granted, it was worth it but still.

..Is what it takes just to get it connected in the first place. The speed of the download probably had more to do with the fact that everyone else was downloading it, too.
Edit: Also I would like to remind Ink that I am forced to use dial-up AOL every other weekend. THAT is brutal.

I remember having to use 38.6kps internet years ago too.
Back then I had to pay for it, though.
