How do I get it so I can have an image without the background in it? Even if I make the back transparent it just comes out white in Flash.

iiirc you need a mask.
I mean, you need a mask if you want to be the next Flash. But it helps a lot if first you're Kid Flash, and then the current Flash gets offed in a summer crossover. Oh, and Super Speed. the more of that the better.

Well if you just want to cut something out of an image, you can important the image and then use (ctrl-B) to "break it apart", which basically turns it into a shape in which the color of that image is the bitmap itself (this should not be confused with using the "trace" feature which converts an image into separate colors). Then using either the eraser or the selection tool, you can get what you need. Of course if you're doing this for video game sprites,or something else that requres pizel perfect edges, then please ignore what I've said and stick to trying to get a transparent bakground to work.

Much obliged, this is good enough. For the record, I'm using Flash 8. No idea what version of Quicktime I got. EDIT: Wait. I screwed up with Photoshop because I didn't use layers or anything and the background, being, like, white, wasn't going to delete unless I made a new layer. I dunno what was going on either way I screwed up so yes this is good now
