This news has been questioned significantly, as well. One of the things Nintendo said during E3, for example, was that they designed the Wii so that developers didn't have to worry about network adaptor protocols and all that, that sort of thing was going to be built in, and the games simply had to request it. Actually, this is intriguing. I mean, I guess the servers for third-party games aren't set by Nintendo, so I don't see how could they have any control over this, no? I don't get it... It's not like there are a whole lot of options for communication protocols. Nintendo probably just included the whole lot of them in the system, and the developer just has to specify which one. ...which sounds (and is) so simple, I can't see why other systems aren't doing it, if they aren't. :E
