I bet the first thing you thought was Nakiti... Before I brought up a discussion (must have been on the old php) about self publication but I never got anywhere due to being lazy and still being in my first year of a sequential illustration course. Suprisingly wikipedia does not contain results for such an illustrator and should be fixed. Going along with old plans and working out my spare time here in Middlesbrough 450+ miles away from home I decided to try again with no rush to build up 32 pages worth of work to print off into a real book for a few reasons. 1) Portfolio work, having a real printed book of work with you is something everyone who draws should do, its like the cherry on the cake. 2) The jump of sold books on places like www.lulu.com and the overall community is huge compared to what, 2 years ago now? make something worthwhile and it sells, you can also buy a $80 deal with them to get your books sold on amazon if you find that fee worth it in the end. 3) Reading into such things lead to someone managing to sell about 50 books a week and his art was sub par, if you price up around a few £ more then it costs to make thats a fair bit of income. Of course this is no garentee but nice to know while spending hours working. My main interest is #1 but im sure some of you would also like to see my work in true printed book format, i've had offers of poster sales back in july so to me it's something worth working on in spare time. I would like to keep this post as a mini blog, the showoff forum here seems to move slow so thats perfect

*** Update 1.
The two storys I aim to do will be around 12 pages each, any spare pages will be used in case I run over a page or two plus some filler art etc.
The first and main story will of course be based on my talked about but hardly ever seen in action girl called Nakiti, it will cover the first leg of her life and how she gets to a certan point in the story by chapter 1. I already have part of this story illustrated from my final project but never scaled and printed off, still I got full marks in the class and the only person in sequential illustration to get a distinction (sorry had to say it!), so this should be something everyone will like to see in a real printed format.
The second story is based on another girl and an idea I have had in my head for a little time now. I'm still in a muddle about having it set post WWI or in the future but the overall story is the same for both timelines. I will also be using a totaly different art style for these 12 pages to give a taste change to the reader, there is not one style I prefer to work in yet so it is good for me also. This story is all about flying planes and dogfights.
I hope to make this by march time, april if I run low on funds and have to wait for certan book print sizes to resolve.
Hopefully next update I will have images to post so stay tuned!

I had to scan some pages to show someone but I decided to post them here also, since this topic has zero images right now. These are just from a little time at night sketching the storyboards, I find them realy usefull in the long run.
