I tried to back when I lived in Florida. Man, there were a lot of buttons, and combined with the weird controls, I ended up getting a headache and just ran over whatever enemies I could in the first stage.
Oddly enough, I won.

My friend brought that game up yesterday. I said when I win the lottery, I'm going to have a room in my house that has 16 coppies of steel battallion LAN'd together.
Then I can be just like drew carrey.

I almost picked it up when it was discounted during Media Play's going-out-of-business sale, but it wasn't discounted ENOUGH, and by the time it would've been, it was gone.
Plenty of copies of 50 Cent: Bulletproof left, though.

I have played it, its pretty fun but damn hard.
*edit* its well simulated, you can run at gear 4 and turn, you will just topple the mech over on its side.
