Ya.
I suppose I should've taken a break when I played Tales of the Abyss for nine hours straight. Now I feel like selling all of my video gaming stuff for some reason.
So yeah... <_<

Tales of the Abyss was addicting, and I just had to look for those search points to get Natalia's cowgirl outfit. I didn't have any guides to work with.
I also did the same thing with Super Smash Brothers Melee trying to unlock everything using that Ness glitch...

I've heard of this happening quite a bit over at the Penny Arcade forums. There was a period when they'd hit a topic every week about somebody going "VIDEOGAMES SUCK NOW BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING INTERESTING AND IT'S JUST ALL SO BLAH".
And then we find out the guy's been recently binge gaming or something and just needs to take a bit of a break.

Videogames are sort of a waste of life. As are most forms of one-man entertainment. But it is good to be able to be entertained and to know what entertains you.
Back in the day people would the simplest of toys for hours on end. And now we're amazed by how people able to play old game systems for hours. No matter what we accomplish, it'll seem like such a complete and utter waste of time compared to the video games of the future.
Damn it, I really hate these Progressive Auto Insurance commercials. I really just wanna punch that guy with the white hair in the gut once. Just to show him the amount of displeasure I feel when I see those commercials. Oh man.
Umf umf I'm an ostrich. :L

I've felt like that sometimes. Some days y' just want to sell everything, hop in a vehicle and just do... something.
Then I realise how stupid and unrealistic that'd be, and just take a few days off games.

Videogames do suck now.
Which is not to say that's new, or that it used to be a lot better. If anything, I'd say that videogames have always sucked, and it was only the boredom of my youth and the few brilliant works of art amongst the lazy trash that got me into them from the start.
Luckily, one of those works of art just came out, so I'll be buying it this Christmas! Woo!

I think we've all gotten burnt out on video games from time to time... But I've never wanted to just go out and sell everything. I've always just found something more productive/entertaining to do, instead.

Videogames are sort of a waste of life. As are most forms of one-man entertainment. But it is good to be able to be entertained and to know what entertains you. I don't think I ever said this here before, but the way I see it.... everything there is to life is basically meant to get through the time you have here as smoothly as possible. The triforce of human life is: -Comfort (Making things as easy as possible for yourself) -Entertainment (Having fun while getting through life) -Sustenance (Staying alive for as long as possible) Practically everything in life is either to make things easier on you, to keep you amused, or to keep you alive to enjoy the above things in the first place. Work? Of course - you work to make money. Money is used to buy... well, practically all of the above. Sex? Falls under both entertainment AND sustenance; moreso on a "human race" basis rather then a personal one, but still. War? Apart from the fact that war is fairly entertaining to some of the weird folk out there, when a war is won, it leads to great comfort to the victorious. Try coming up with anything. Anything you can think of, and however mundane it may be, I'm fairly sure it can be linked to any of the above.

Hmm... I just installed a new showerhead in the bathroom.
Sure, my shoulders hurt like hell but I found it fun.
Maybe I'll do some work around the house.

Oddly, enough, this is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing happening to someone. It's strange to me, as I never get burned out after long sessions (usually up to 24 hours - you read that right).

I dont know how anyone could play a single game for 24 hours strait...

Correct. H, you win an internet-dollar. Thats what I thought too... most people say OCD when refering to being obsessive compulsive, considering it IS a disorder.

Well, I don't consider it a disorder in this case.
