Ahahahaha. OK, this is basically a RELIC of the INTARNETS. Waaaay back when fangames were still being made in either DOS or Klik and Play, Bill Clinton was still occupying the White House, and SSNTails still owned Segasonic.net, there was this little sadist of a "fangame" called Tails Crusher. Now this pack included... at least two programs, if not possibly more. The first one was recreated by Cyan Helkaraxe on a Genesis ROM and is basically Tails being crushed and splattered by the Sonic 3 logo. The other one however, was much more graphic, slightly more obscure, and as of now, nowhere to be found on Internets.
It was a cutscene wherein Tails was trapped in a glass tube with spikes slowly lowering. Eventually they would come down, mash Tails into a bloody pulp, and then a crude Tetris-esque game would start wherein you'd move Tails' remains around a bit and attempt to match the mash.
If purely for a nostalgic "Ah god I used to be so incredibly HORRIFIED by this back then" feeling, I'd like to see this again. So...Anyone still have this?

Today is your lucky day! Straight from the man himself, here is the painfully detailed depiction of Tails' demise in all of its original DOS glory! Also, Cyan expresses regret that he had not finished porting this game to the Megadrive as well, but hey, it happens. =P Being that it's DOS, you might want to run it in DOSBox. Today was the first day I ever saw this thing, and I must say it's amusing in the sort of way that the majority of Resevoir Dogs was.

It be a DOS emulator for Windows XP. In case there are programs that either run too fast for your computer, or not at all.
God, I had forgotten how utterly graphic that scene was again. I was eating Spaghetti just now while watching it, and I had trouble eating it while looking at what in large lines resembles what was on my plate. XD
The game confuddles me. How am I supposed to win? All I seem to be able to do is fill my own screen with various bits of gore, pairing similar bits together does nothing, and once my screen's full the other player wins. It's like you have to do nothing to win. XD

A DOS emulator. Or, if you want to be specific, a PC emulator that comes with DOS as its OS.
Many Sonic fans did. However, I can personally say that from my experiences with the foamy rodent that he likes Tails very much, and in fact I'd say Tails was his favorite character in all Sonic-dom, sans the blue doof himself.

Wow. Something about Tails victimization was always a little more disturbing to me then other victims. I guess it's cause he's so innocent... well when he's not being drawn as a Nazi, or being depicted as a crazy murderer covered in blood, grinning madly (I have this image in my wallpaper randomizer). I kinda felt like people weren't big Tails fans way back when. You know what? Wallpaper time.

I kinda felt like people weren't big Tails fans way back when. I suspect a lot of the fanbase had recently hit middle school back then. That's where people tend to start their "omg look how GROWN UP I am" phase, during which kids attempt to justify to themselves their continued love for childish things by deciding they hate the most childish-seeming parts. This is also the usual origin of what I like to call swearfics.

If swear fics are what they sound like, I'm ok with those.
I'm lying, but occasionally there are times where I feel Sonic and Co. could let out the occasional "curse" word. I mean, druing Sonic's last boss in Adventure, there are some moments where a curse might be appropriate,
To be fair "Damn" is the only REAL curse word, being it's the only one that entails actually cursing someone.

Swearfics are my name for fanfics that have everybody swearing every other word and generally also act like assholes, for no reason other than that the author thinks that makes it more "adult."
They are not the same as fanfics where characters swear because it's in character for them to do so at the time, though there is certainly potential for overlap.
