You have to admit we've done pretty damn well here.

What prompted this? I'm curious.

What prompted this? I'm curious. Checking out SWS2Beta, and noting that pretty much everybody who was active in that community back in the day is gone now. Diab: Perhaps the level of purpose is inversely proportional to the ability of the community to hold together. ;>

Yeah. Somehow I'm still stuck here. TEH EPOCHMAN. Actually this past weekend has been an insane Epoch weekend, including personal visits to a couple of my old staff in a somewhat zany cross-country extravanganza.

I was more appalled by the registration process than anything. I mean sure, I knew every single question without having to even look it up, but talk about isolation! I mean, we may give new, typing-impaired people some flak, but at least we let them in in an effort to accept them.

I remember the first concepts of that questionare were being thought up back during the ol Jan Abaza Area 51 days. Most everybody there, myself included, was sick and tired of posts by complete morons about an "amazing" discovery they had made only to find out it was common knowledge and had been for years.
I guess they finally took that concept and went through with it to the S2b forums.

(but then, when I logged into the S2BMB last night it gave me a "Last visit: April 2004!", so there's that.)

This is the only online community I'm part of that I really enjoy coming to, I must say. Most other forums grow tiresome in comparison for me.
