Looks promising. It is coming to the US, right?
By the way, what the hell was Grandia Xtreme about?

Grandia Xtreme is more of a dungeon crawler with heavy emphasis on the fighting to due a souped up battle system. It really had little plot, map exploration(the exploration is limited to the dungeons), and character development. So if you like just fighting monsters in dungeons(and some of these dungeons can have over 100 floors), Grandia-style then this game is for you. Otherwise, you would probably get bored of it really quickly.

And let's not forget Dean "I just so happen to play Superman on TV" Cain's poor vocal performance, although I didn't think Mark Hamill was that bad ( he'll always be the Joker to me ;_; ). Gosh, I hope we get some good voice actors this time around.

I downloaded the trailer, that's quite nice looking. The music was suitably good, as well, although it did smack of a sort of 80's anime sound. But I didn't really mind.

Well, that was the main theme of Grandia on the trailer.

Ah. I just meant that it had an older sound to it.
Hm... the one thing that kind of jolts you out of the trailer is a problem a lot of RPGs have, how to deal with the characters jogging around. The pacing of his run just looks so robotic/artificial when the game's look is otherwise drawing you in.

Wow, that trailer looks sweet. Got some nice environments, good effects, and nice to see they're ditching the isometric style camera viewpoing (sure it gave a nice view of your surroundings but it sort of distanced you from the character). I'm guessing they're doing new characters/plot/everything and so have about little to do with G2 as G2 did with G1. No complaints there really, it'll be interesting to see what they come up with.
As for the jogging, that's not a technical problem, that's more an animation problem, reliant more on skill then the figures the console packs.

He composed all of the Grandia games' music so far.
