Hardlines is household stuff that you do not wear. Pots, pans, hardware and stuff. Softlines is clothes and accessories.
I do not work at Target though, so I'm not technically qualified to tell you anything. Bleh!

That's odd. Today I was in the breakroom at Target (I work there ) and someone was talking about hardlines and I wondered the same thing.

Maybe in some areas Target is more desperate. They've considered hiring BLUES.
