Michael Jackson on Monday of molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor at his Neverland ranch, vindicating the pop star who insisted he was the victim of mother-and-son con artists and a prosecutor with a vendetta.

Jurors also acquitted him of conspiring to imprison his accuser and the boy's family at the storybook estate — a total legal victory but one that may do little to improve his bizarre image.

Whether or not he was guilty, I think the family made a key mistake going with the same prosecuter from the case 10 years ago. Most of the trial felt too much like him trying to actually get Jackson this time, after he "got away" as it were by paying off the other child.
I'm surprised they were able to make up their minds so quickly though. I'd expcted a couple of charges to be clearly not guilty, but I thought we'd see them split on a lot of the more serious charges.

Ehh. I'm kind of torn on the subject. On one hand, he seems like the kind of guy who'd do it, and I sort of think he did, but on the other hand the family that sued him couldn't keep a straight story, and really seemed like they were only after him for money.

It would've been hilarious to see the fans get all pissy if he was proven guilty, though.

Overall though; this has pretty much left a scar on his already horrible reputation either way.
