Jeeze, don't ask me. I had to be like... 3 or 4 years old when I was watching it. I still remember the song and a few episodes, though. It makes me happy

I REMEMBER THIS. ughghghg I was such a furry kid. Heh! Out of all the post in this thread, this one seemed to be telling it was about Zoobilee Zoo, before I clicked on Squishy's link. And 'lo and behold I guessed correctly after clinking it. XD Ah the memories. I still remember some of the lyrics also. Though I never did know what kind of Zooble was Mayor Ben supposed to be? A cheetah? A jaguar?

Also, Whazzat Kangaroo was my favorite. Never saw that in the US, myself. When did the show air? In the mid to late 80's on PBS and syndicated networks. =)

Ah, well that clears that up, back then I had no idea what any words in the English language meant so to me ... and I don't get PBS I think anyway ;p

Yea, seeing this video on youtube made me reference Zoobilee Zoo in the Biker Mice From Mars thread a while back. Yea - I said Biker Mice From Mars was basically Zoobiless Zoo mixed with Ghost Rider. Which isn't the -most- innaccurate statement I've -ever- said.
Personally I never bothered with watching the show myself. And now I'm not a furry.
But if you notice, the fruity way they speak in Zoobilee Zoo is surprisingly similar to the fruity way they speak in Interview With A Vampire.
Who was the guy who thought "Boy this play 'Cats' is nice but I really think the world needs a version of it that could appeal to three year olds."
Special guest star, Bubbles the chimp? Isn't that Michael Jackson's monkey. Well, I'm gonna be honest. Michael Jackson probally owns every episode of this show on laserdisc.
You know what would make this show a lot better? If Mayor Cat's primary defining personality trait was that he thought he looked great. I mean his first line in every episode should be "I look good!" and he would constantly be looking at himself in mirrors and care very little about anything other than his own looks, including the well being of others. 'Cause hey, you can get away with that kind of thing when you look good.

I remember the show, but I don't think I ever watched the opening of it, cuz I was never interested in the show.
Now if only someone had the opening to the live action Dumbo show...

I don't remember this too well (must have been too young), but it does look familiar.
