Okay, I'll debunk all your theories in a half of second:
Watch Nip/Tuck, then go watch any syndicated or fresh TV Drama on network stations and sit here and tell me they compare visually, story, or characterwise. Every episode is like a season finale, where something shocking happens. Granted, they're have a bit more freedom on FX, but they're not dropping an F-Bomb or showing titties every scene to get the persons attention.

If anyone cares, Apple also tossed out a quad-processor G5 and new (higher-resolution longer-battery) Powerbooks today.

Except nobody really pays for photoshop anyway. Most of us don't pay for anything these days, XD Interesting bit with the video IPOD, but I'd rather get the Creative Labs equivalent, as IMO, the Apple mp3 players have consistantly been inferior to the Creative Labs counter-party, but Apple's better marketing and 'big name' seem to counter-act their inferiority, in terms of sales.

If you don't mind me inquiring, how would you define "inferior," PC0?

The only thing I can think of is OGG support (which I'm pretty sure Creative has).

Strangely, I remember having this debate about a year ago. Really, though, I'm not too familiar with the OGG format. I've grown to enjoy the AAC format at its "lossless" bitrate of 448kbps, which to my ears preserves well the high quality of a CD recording. Please, though, educate me about the perks of the Ogg Vorbis format.

Ogg is open source, patent free and I heard it gives better quality then mp3s.

Interestingly, after reading the Wiki article that Lukos posted, Creative players apparently "DON'T" support Ogg Vorbis format...

Really the only thing the iPod needs is support for ogg and flac, and a removable battery. And perhaps more flexibility in how you can transfer your songs. Where it exceeds is the interface. The creative players don't even come close to the interface (shuffle excluded), and I would assert that's the most important aspect of a digital music player.
Also, AAC is not lossless. Not truly anyway. It's pretty close, but not there.

Yeah. I find OGGs to compress better without being anywhere near as lossy, but I can't use them on my iPod so I just stick with 192 kbps AAC using the iTunes VBR encoder (I'd go higher, but my hard drive is not as big as Mirai's). So OGG would be very nice; unless it's added soon, I'm just going to get a Palm Treo or something. As for FLAC... I never use it anyhow, but support would be nice for the audiophiles who don't want to hurt the FLAC by converting it to something else (it seems to be a very sensetive format).
