But he can enjoy it all, now with his shiny new Micro.

Except for Final Fantasy III. I really dont see the logic in choosing that specific one to port to DS. They could have rolled a dice to pick it for all I know.

I really can't see buying a GBA when the DS is only $50 more, and plays a lot more games. But then again, the GBA vastly outsold the DS last month, so people obviously like the $99 price more.

What is the point of the Micro? From what I can tell, the only good thing about it is that it's shiny.

[The DS] plays a lot more games [than the GBA] WRONG. The GBA supports the entire (vast) GB(C) library, which the DS doesn't.

But...I heard that the GBM could play any game the GBA could.

There was a sale on because it was Boxing Week, so the prices were: Micro = $80, DS = $150 That's a hell of a leap in price, considering the fact that I bought this system to play GBA games.

No, they removed GB and GBC support from the Micro. What happened is that they actually got all the hardware unique to the GBC on a one square inch board, which allowed them to have two systems in one. This, however, was expensive, and in something the size of the micro, not feasible. I assume space and cost issues kept the chip out of the DS too.
And Leo, someday you're going to want to play a DS game, then you'll have wished you had purchased one.

There was supposedly a poll in Japan for Squeenix where the gaming public got to choose which FF game should be completely remade for the DS. FFIII beat out all the SNES FFs. So if you want to complain, you should complain to the Japanese public. I want to know just how good FFIII is to pass up FFIV, FFV, and FFVI.

And Leo, someday you're going to want to play a DS game, then you'll have wished you had purchased one. Meh, I just think getting an SP would've been more intelligent than the Micro -if- he wanted to play older GB titles, too. Admittedly there are some great old-ass games, like Super Mario Land 2, SML3: Wario Land... umm... Well, there were some! But yes, the Micro is VERY cool because of its small size and swappable faceplates/screens. Still, especially because of its apparent ability to not support older titles... I wouldn't want one. If Leo doesn't have any interest in DS games now, it's hardly as though the system will go under. Regret will not be a valid issue. That's like saying that someday I will regret not having an X-Box. There's (usually) still the future. Unless the concearned party DIES...

...you know, I can easily pick these titles up since I've been meaning to play them but I don't know why I never do.

Leo, I have three questions.
1) How is the screen on the micro? Can you really see the fine details like people claimed they did?
2) What design of micro did you get?
3) Have you experienced any slowdown or sluggish controls on the battle menu in FFIV?
