Just copying over news of two of the more interesting titles revealed (not that Super Monkey Ball DS isn't interesting)... Anyway, first off, neo2046 (not the Neo having the birthday today) has said that the latest Famitsu made mention of a new Sonic title for the Gamecube and PS2 called "Sonic Riders," due out for Winter 2005. The username might make you question, but he's provided brand new Japanese magazine scans in the past, so unless he's misreading it, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now, he's certainly earned it. No details yet, but this could be the Sonic game we'll hear about on September 9th, and it wouldn't be something that replaced or cut short the Shadow title's sales, like announcing a full Sonic platformer akin to the Sega Theater showing would. Edit: Scans on Page 4.The other one, the title was known about, but now details are revealed for Rockman Rockman (Megaman Megaman, yes) for the PSP: eg.nttpub.co.jp/news/20050907_02.htmlIt's a semi remake of Megaman 1, in an even cutsier style. Amir0x mentioned that there's also a level editor (shown in a few of the screens on the site) that'll let you make your own levels and pass them over WiFi (local? online? Don't know, probably local) to friends and foes.

Gamecube? I wish there would be a DS version. I dunno. I would probably hesitate getting it on the gamecube because I won't bother going online with it.
I'm digging the level editor, though.
edit: nevermind, excuse me. I mis-read that.
I still do hope that they announce a next-gen sonic on the 9th/16th, though.

Rokkuman Rokkuman!! It looks quite cute.
Also... new Sonic game on GCN... okay... The name implies it might be multiplayer based, which is good.

Judging by the wide-screen-ness of the screenshots, I would've thought Rockman Rockman would've been a PSP game.

Blaze: It is, I'm sorry, I thought that was clear. Sonic Riders is supposedly going to be for the Gamecube, Rockman Rockman for the PSP, and another list that's supposedly got some cred behind it lists several new PSP and DS titles, including Super Monkey Ball DS.

... does it being on PSP change how good it is? I actually think it might be good.

I never said it did. I said "oh, balls." because I don't own a PSP, and I don't plan to. I find this very disheartining.

Wow... but I know I will eventually get a PSP and Rockman Rockman will be one of the games I get for it.

Sonic Riders is apparently scheduled for PS2 as well. (Which means it'll probably have that Renderware "look," ugh.) I'm editing the first post to note that.

Winter 2005? Blimey, they sure are keeping that "Sonic Riders" secret if it's going to be outthen, which I doubt.
Megaman Megaman, dispite the rather daft title (Megaman Mini? SD Megaman? Megaman Pocket? I'll give e credit for doing a title no one else has tried before though) looks awesome, nice to see they can do more than just Network Warrior/Zero sequals still, shame it's not got a DS release as well.

Rockman Rockman will likely never come here because Sony really doesn't like 2d games. But, maybe because it's Megaman... One never knows. At any rate.. it's not like a classic style megaman game requires much text, so it can just be imported anyway.

Now watch it have an elaborately rewritten plot which is revealed entirely through text.

At least it explains why Megaman couldn't duck in the early games. "If I tip my massive cranium downward, I may never be able to flip it back up again!"

It's nice for the gamers because we don't have to wait that long for release, and quickly produced games are obviously of higher quality and are absolutely bug free. As for Megaman * 2, I agree with Sanius. I'm bummed that it's for the PSP, because I'm never going to get one. Sony really doesn't like 2D games, so I wish this would come to the DS instead.

What this guy said - why can't it hit the PSP? The weapon screen could be on the bottom.. it would work so well ;_; And Sonic Riders sounds too EXTREME Seriously, what possessed them to use that word? Ah well, I'm curious to see how that tunrs out.
