Joeseph Barbera, one half of the legendary Hanna-Barbera duo, passed away of natural causes yesterday at the age of 95. Bill Hanna had previously passed away in 2001, so now they can meet up again in that big place in the sky and make great cartoons for the angels. These guys are legends who will be, along with their many, many iconic characters (the list is endless), remembered dearly forever as two of the most important figures in Americas' film history. D: RIP. You will be missed. HB kinda crapped up the animation industry in the 70s, but not before revolutionizing it a decade or two before. Where would we be without the stuff like the Pink Panther and Hong Kong Fooey?

Ninety-five is a good age to reach. He had a successful life.
The cartoons were goofy, somewhat poorly animated, but many of them found a place in my heart. They and their works shall live on forever, immortalized in film and remembered by millions.

They even passed away in order. *beaten senseless*
Truly a shame, but he lasted a very long time, and that's nice in itself.

Apprently, I thought he pressumably died years ago too. I was also surprised when Rosa Parks died.

Where would we be without the stuff like the Pink Panther and Hong Kong Fooey? Pink Panther was not by Hanna-Barbera, just to note. They did, however, give us: * Tom & Jerry * Ruff & Reddy * Huckleberry Hound * Quick Draw McGraw * The Flintstones * Top Cat * Yogi Bear * Wally Gator * The Jetsons * Magilla Gorilla Show * Jonny Quest * Atom Ant * Secret Squirrel * Squiddly Diddly * Peter Potamus (Did you get that thing I sent ya?) * Space Ghost * Birdman * The Herculoids * Banana Splits * Wacky Races * Scooby-Doo * The Funky Phantom * The Hair Bear Bunch * Sealab 2020 * Hong Kong Phooey * Jabberjaw * Captain Caveman * and MORE.

Pink Panther wasn't? I...I never knew. I'm shattered.
Well anyway, they did churn out some good shows.

The Pink Panther(funny cartoon animal version) was created by Friz Freleng.
I used to generally like a lot of H-B toons such as Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo, Atom Ant, etc. when I was a kid. Nowadays, the only ones I can still enjoy are Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones and Top Cat which isn't suprising since they were made to appeal to an adult audience.

I can't stomach Tom and Jerry anymore. This is probably because I've seen each episode approximated 20 times.
