Well, the localization can't be as bad as the FF5 from the FF Anthology version. I mean has there been any reports of Faris talking like a stereotypical pirate in this version?

No, she (spoiler!) speaks like an actual person this time. In fact, I hear the retranslation is as good as FF4A's. It just happens to be peppered with these delightful bits of insanity.

I personally prefer the name Reina of Lenna, but meh, small deal. And I love how all of the character protraits don't match their hair color.

That happened with FF3/6j, too. The weirdest thing was the Terra/Tina thing of having blond hair in the art, but green hair in the game.
Also, the Moogles had different colored antennae balls and such. Part of it was palette limitation, but I get the feeling some of it was just... I don't know. Mid-process design changes.
