Which was Issue 4 and which was Issue 5? Were those the two smoking ones?

Well, it didn't really matter for me as I wasn't able to vote in the first place. Yay for being a shut-in and not updating my identification cards!
And Virginia passed the Marriage Amendment! I know I shouldn't complain, but dammit why do I keep having faith in humanity?

Oh. I think I voted Yes on 4 and No on 5. :/
Sorry, but 5 seemed a little overboard. 4 seemed like a more reasonable compromise than the current standard of "OK EVERYONE QUIT AT ONCE NOW."
I only could go on what I read on the paper, I didn't know those specific issues were going to be on the ballot, so I couldn't read up on them previously. Had I known... well... 5 still seemed sort of overboard...

7 propositions I voted for passed. 3 of them (The ones I liked the most, including an alternate energy proposition endorsed by Clinton and Gore) Failed All the ones I voted no on failed.
The Richmond mayor I voted for lost. I voted for Angelides. Arnold won. However all the secondary government positions (Lt. Gov, Sec of State, Attorney General etc.) in CA I voted for won, except Insurance Commissioner which went Republican. Congressman I voted for won.

What does that matter this year? We're talking about districts and ballot propositions. A lot of red states had big upsets in congress. And Missouri, Montana, and Virginia which voted for Bush by a landslide, have elected Democrat senators. Give me a break. It's your right not to vote, but some of the excuses I've heard are silly. Although we should get rid of the electoral college, It's still nice to see all those numbers and say you were one of those people.
I know it's late now, but that's a good lesson for 2007 (recalls, ballot propositions and special elections), 2008 and onwards.

I didn't vote because: 1) my state is blue either way 2) with the electronic ballots the chance is comically high that my vote will be uncounted 3) too big of a waste of time given 1 and 2 4) the US system is broken. Take corporations out and I might care. Otherwise I'm going to have to become one to make my voice heard.
Seriously, I was busy all day yesterday. F them, they can move the election to a day I'm not busy if they want me to vote.

Wow, that'll work out splendidly for you.
I really don't get "2" either. Are you that paranoid about a glitch?

Wow, that'll work out splendidly for you. I really don't get "2" either. Are you that paranoid about a glitch? It's not paranoia -- a ton of voting machines use the touch screens on machines programmed by private companies with no government oversight. You tell me if that could be a potential problem.

Potential, yes. Also, daft employees damaged hundreds, if not thousands of absentee ballots in the mail. The paper kind. Stupidity and problems are not unique to touch-screen voting machines. Hell, just look at 2000.
Besides, you'd rather not vote at all than chance that your vote may not count?
