They still hang people nowadays? Gee whiz. They sure as hell chose the most "Ancient-American" death possible for this guy, as to add insult to injury, hm!

... They're suprised by his courtroom oubursts? How long DID they keep him in a box subjected to who knows what? Of course his already questionable mind snapped a bit!
He's a terrible person and has done more than his share of unforgivable things, but hanging? Quite an iconic way is dispatch someone in this age. I fear he'll become even -more- of a martyr in the eyes of those who already are more than a little peeved by the whole US occupation thing.
Bleh.

Actually, that's how many countries, including Japan execute their condemned. It's just cheaper than the chair or the needle. Anyway, it was important to have a trial, at least to preserve some sense of the values our republic is built on. No one's surprised by the outcome.

Edit: Actually, no. I'm not going to be a hypocrite on this one. Capital punishment should not be used. He should be in prison for the rest of his life, and be made to live with what he's done.

About time. Of course they had to have a trial but it perplexes me that they're holding it off for so long to actually kill him. What, they're doing it in Spring? Why not just do it and finish it while they can to give the overly religious nuts less time to plan some grand escape for him or something? But of course, that's how the law works. Oh well!!

Maybe now we'll go hunt down that Osamabama guy... But why? We got the guy responsible for 9/11, right? We're gonna make sure he gets what's coming to him!!!!

Well, yes and no. I never said it was a fair trial. I just said it was a trial. Obviously I wish there were a lot of things that we had done differently, and I in no way support how any of this was handled. But it's better than just shooting him.
Still, I'm with saiy on this.

More like "live in jail for a few years and then some nuts break him out". ...but uh let's not get too debate-tastic. That crap makes me a sad kid. I'm a little more inbetween on the politics than anyone here.

Saiy, I have the feeling he doesnt really feel sorry for all that he did. XD;
Not saying death is better, but he isnt going to suffer from his memories while in a jail cell for the rest of his life.
