ciclops.org/view.php?id=2230&flash=1They depict Saturn from the back, (i.e. obscuring the sun) and they're absolutely gorgeous. They were shot by Cassini a month ago from an angle we obviously never could have gotten on Earth. Space rocks.

Sega Saturn sure looks different from behind. I want to live there someday.

Nah space sucks it big time. But saturn isn't so bad. I GUESS I mean the Sailor Moon character sucks it. BUT there's no bs about wether it's rly a planet or not, so I like that. Also, we should take a few of it's ring's.

So did I. This is the greatest Saturn-related discovery since someone pointed a radio receiver at the planet and discovered it was transmitting what sounded far too much like a bootleg recorded in the 1960s.

edit: Here I combined it with my previous wallpaper by invrting both layers, setting one to multiply, flattening the image, and then inverting them back to black. the person in this thread is the enigmatic Starman from the cover of #2 of the upcoming Justice Society of America. www.dccomics.com/comics/?cm=6644

Is that meant to be a terribly bad pun?
Anyway, yes. You do get some absolutely fantastic images from space. Either that or Nasa spend far too much time on Photoshop.

The only problem with that wallpaper is the dude's thumb, Nero.
These shots are absolutely awesome, indeed.
