Hey ya'll. I cant seem to find anywhere some general info on the voltages that come out of both the SPKR OUT and LINE OUT outputs. I'm assuming they're pretty low, but can someone point me in the right direction?

Yes, I'm trying to adjust my amp's gain settings correctly. For some reason, any hint of what I'm looking for on websites seem to suggest 2v-5v, which is ideal because it's in the gain's range of adjustment.
What's really pissing me off is the amp's protection mode kicking in after a few hard minutes of sub poundage. I mounted the amps to the carpetted covered MDF, so I'm not sure if the heat is disappating correctly from the heatsinks or lack of air flow. I'm really tossed with this. I put the same exact amp in my father's car and it has a similar problem, albeit, over a longer time period.
But to top it off, all reviews of the product are positive, getting high points for everything. I'm hoping the place I got it from isn't shipping shitty stuff. :E

At max volume, my multimeter's reading a steady 4VDC. Although when I initially attached it, it spiked to about 6V.

Know what make/model the sound card is? That'd probably help.

I understand, but I doubt manufacturer's specs would hurt. :E

Manufactuer doesn't have the specs listed; I obviously checked their site first before comin here ;P
But I just did some math and figured out at ~80% effeciency (Class D monoblock) and rated at 60 amps, I should be puttin out about 43VAC per channel output on the amp. Got my gains set accordingly, but the sub can handle a lillll more than that, so I turned it up a wee bit more.
Bumps ahoy.
