...to put in towards the purchase of a Coral Pink DS Lite. ;D Normally, the trade-in value for a DS is $40. However, Gamestop/EB Games is having a special offer where you can trade in your fat DS towards the purchase of a Pink or Black DS Lite where you will only need to spend $69.99(not including tax). So that means the trade-in value for DSFat for this offer is $60. Also, if you trade in your GBASP for the new DSLite, it will only cost you $99.99.
I already paid in full, so now I'm just waiting until next week when they are released. This offer only last until the 24th so that just a heads up if you want an upgrade.

I got $65 for my DSfat at GameCrazy. Only payed $75 for my white DSlite (also gave them my copy of Capcom Fighting Evolution for PS2) plus they gave me 12 free rentals at Hollywood for buying a lite.
Conclusion?
GameCrazy > GameStop

Nope. Just got the giftcards today, I'll probably buy it when it's released, assuming... you know, they don't sell out.

Dude, if you are worried about it selling out then why don't you just pay it in full it today or tomorrow? I got $65 for my DSfat at GameCrazy. Only payed $75 for my white DSlite (also gave them my copy of Capcom Fighting Evolution for PS2) plus they gave me 12 free rentals at Hollywood for buying a lite. Conclusion? GameCrazy > GameStop But GameCrazy didn't have a special for Pink and Black DS Lites and all the Hollywood videos in my area have a crappier selection than Blockbuster. =(

Well, I'm not too concerned if it sells out. If they don't have it, well, I'll just buy pearl white, I guess.

I could trade in both of my DS fats that'll net me $120 to buy one DS Lite. So lets see, that would leave $10 to pay for, as well as the $300 I've invested in both. That leads me to one conclusion: Trading in is a rip off.

Traded in PSP for DSlite months ago. I have regrets about it, but in the end what I really need but dont have is both.

I envy DS Lite and drool for an Onyx one, but have no excuse to get one. Bah.

I hope none of the people who take advantage of that trade-in have any Wi-Fi play data on their old DSes... it's why I bought my Lite while I still had my Heavy, to transfer the files so you don't lose your data and have to generate new friendcodes and stuff. =o

I envy DS Lite and drool for an Onyx one, but have no excuse to get one. Bah. That's the exact same position I'm in. Woe.

I envy DS Lite and drool for an Onyx one, but have no excuse to get one. Bah. I'd like one, but I'm not ditching a perfectly healthy DS unit. When it eventually breaks, I'll scrounge up a Lite. It will be FABULOUS.

My DS was perfectly healthy(I recieved it for Christmas) despite the stylus marks. However, I had trouble seeing the screen this summer due to the awful glare and plus the bigger stylus of the Lite gave me a better sense of control. I mean I finally passed a certain level in Ouedan when playing on a friend's DSL that I had trouble for ages on my own DSfattie.
