Yep, damn sucks. We had a group of people from our workplace down there at a conference this week, but thankfully they're all Ok. Could have been a lot worse though. Although no casualty figures as such yet, only 2 confirmed deaths so far. Considering at least 6 bombs have gone off, especially on crowded underground trains, at rush hour, it really could have been a much larger loss of life.

I used to live in London so I have a lot of ties with people there - I'm just finding out if my friends alright now. I should imagine so, but better safe than sorry. Man, at least this wasn't as bad as it could've been.

Yeah, but so far between 40 - 50 people have died, and about 300 have been injured (according to CNN). This is not cool.
Do they have any leads on what group did it? I hope so, soon...

Yeah, I heard on the radio that they're suspecting Al Qaeda due to the fact that the bus explosion was likely the result of a suicide bomber.

Yeah, those spineless cowards at Al-Qaeda are bascilly gloating that they did it. I hope they burn in hell.

I love the part about us "burning with fear" (whatever the fuck that means) as the News 24 guys are calmly discussing how to get London back on track.

In all fairness, they did warn you.

Which obviously justifies going and blowing stuff up.

Wait, hold on. Burning with fear? Fear isn't exactly the type of emotion you associate with burning.
But... uh... my condolences to anyone who had someone they know die, and a great big "NICE ONE, GUYS, YOU REALLY MADE YOURSELVES LOOK GOOD THERE" to the terrorists.

In all fairness, they did warn you. Correction - They warned the people in charge of the UK. I'm pretty sure Average British Joe #247 had never heard about any "warning". And hell, we were warned too, before 9/11. Doesn't make it any less of a tragedy - infact, it might make it moreso one, because the goverment failed to prevent it.

well damn..
warned?
"hey, btw, just to let you know, I'm going to blow you up at some point in the future, ok?"
"um.. k.."
"just thought I'd let ya know.. bye" BOOM
Yeah.. that makes a difference...
anyway.. what everyone else basically said: That sucks.
But why Brittan? I thought the Al-Qaeda's (if it was them) little beef was mostly with the US... stupid terrorists...
Brings back to mind that quote, I think it was from The Onion, about September 11, 2001:
God: "What part of Thou shalt not kill did you not understand!?"

The UK's support was wavering... now it's even more resolved to help the US and other countries. Way to go! Effective plan of action!
There's nothing military about carrying out a surprise attack on unarmed, unthreatening civilians. Attack an army base, an intelligence complex, that's one thing. Blow up a few trains and a bus? That's no "blessed" military action. That's about as honorable as punching a baby. "YEAH! Did ya see how I slugged it!? Baby had it coming! Couldn't stand up to my awesome might, yeah!" And now they've pissed off the burly NRA-member dad...

although the title is sort of amusing. at another forum i go to the title says "Bomb attacks London" a bomb attacked London? i think that was unintentionally funny.

DIdn't they target England because it just won the rights to the olymics, and the terrorists are saying that no where is safe? My mom said that, and it sounded pretty accurate o.o
