I don't know who here is into Kevin Smith movies, but I saw Clerks II today and, I must say, I wish more movies were like it. Perfect ending, perfect amount of drama. Anybody else see it?

Better, I'd say... The first one's plot was good. One of those "who's the right girl" kind of stories. The second one's kinda the same, but it does it a whole lot better.

Watch as the movie gets low box office takings yet massive cult appeal like so many other View Askew productions.

So I went to get tickets, and the lady asked how old I was, and I said I was 17 (even though I'm 16), and she told me I couldn't go in because it was rated R, so then I told her that people 17 and older can get into R rated movies, and she didn't believe me so she had to ask someone else who worked there, and the other person told her people 17 and older can see R rated movies, but then she told me I needed a photo ID with my age on it, and I said all that I had was my school ID card because I don't have a driver's license (because driving is for pussies), and she said that that wasn't good enough, so I never got to see Clerks II. The end.

I've heard really bad stuff about this film.
However, the bad stuff I've heard was in comparison to the original Clerks.
I have not seen the original Clerks. Therefore, going in cold, I wonder how the film stacks up.
Anyone? Bueller?

How could you not have seen the original Clerks?
Do yourself a favor. Go find a DVD of it. I mean the black & white movie, not the animated series.
It'll at least help you understand what Dante and Randall are like.

Okay, went to see it, and honestly the main character was one of the worst actors I've ever seen. What the fuck, that guy is terrible. He reminded me of the shitty plays we did in Grade 9 Drama.
Rest of the cast was good, though, and the movie was pretty funny.
Edit: Like the troll scene? That was fucking perfect. Like A-1 shit.

He's supposed to be like that. Did you even WATCH the first one?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I did watch the first one and I quite enjoyed it. However, the actor was not acting well. He was acting like a guy who can't act. And if the protagonist of your movie can't act and you put him up against someone utterly hilarious like the guy who plays Randall, he brings down the humour level. That is not a good thing, in my opinion, whether it is intentional or not.

Elaborate, please. What do you mean by "acting like a guy who can't act"? What do those kinds of guys act like?
