This better NOT be true. I have no faith in any American adaption of a live-action Sailor Moon

If this is airing on 4Kids TV, I so called this. I even made a picture of it myself.
All said and done, this is a nightmare.
Edit: Apparently its some kind of rumor, and thats all I will treat it as.

So, is a crappy live action remake better or worse than a crappy dub?

It's an unsubstantiated rumor, simple as that. Sailor Moon isn't showing up on any of the lists of Joss Whedon's current projects, and neither actress has admitted to this, nor said they'd want to do this. In addition to that, use of the Sailor Moon franchise on the whole is locked up tighter than Pachuka, as far as the US is concerned; there won't be a Sailor Moon movie in at least the next 10 years simply due to that alone.
On top of that, I can't see Lindsay Lohan as Moon, in any form. She could potentially make an alright Mercury or Venus, but not Moon. And Garner just doesn't fit Beryl at all.

What could ever compel Joss Whedon to write a Sailor Moon movie?
That dog won't hunt, Monseigneur.

what I've read of Whedon's run on Astonishing X-men I found to be greatly overrated.

I hope this ends up the way of the canned live-action American DBZ movie.

Lindsay Lohan was hot before she became fake albino Agreed. I mean, if she went back to what she looked like a couple years ago, I'd so totally hit that.

But Wolverine was the wacky nextdoor badass! ..This scares me but on the other hand if anyone could actually pull it off you know it would be Whedon. I'd like to believe someone forgot that April 1st was a good while ago.

ORD.
Anyway, readers of my Livejournal know that I have a unique appreciation for the iconic value of Sailor Moon. The way it personifies half of everything people make fun of about anime but it still has a million jillion fans for those same reasons. It's horribly sexist heroines and outfits and general pacing that makes it Power Rangers only with dames instead of Zords.

Considering that sailor Moon is no longer shown on TV anymore and we will never get to see Sailor Stars, I say this rumor is false

What could ever compel Joss Whedon to write a Sailor Moon movie? And that's the reason why I thought this news was BS.

Does this mean that Sailor Moon won't change facial expressions?
