In a sense, though, Halo is already CG, so what personality is there to lose?

A movie isn't as interactive as a game. In a game you can feel the character more than in a movie. Since a movie isn't as interactive as a game , the characters need more personality to capture the viewer.

I really do have to give credit to Microsoft for their "Halo bible" they have to follow. I've been waiting for a movie based on a game that, y'know, ACTUALLY WAS ADAPTED FROM THE FRICKING GAMES.
We all saw what happened with the SMB movie...

I'd like a movie where the CGI is actually realistic.
"But then how would the audience know how much money you've spent on awexome CGI?" get back to doing toy comercials, Spielberg.
anyway, I'll take another Resident Evil 1 movie. Where the movie isn't so much a literal adaptation of the game, but rather an adaptation of what the game would be if it didn't feel the need to fit in game play mechanics (overlooking the stupid dogs and licker scenes). while functioning as a side-story to the videogames themself.
In terms of content, I think a Halo movie would be nice if they kind fo crossed what Final Fantasy: Spirits Within should have been (ie: not boring!) with what Starship Troopers should have been. (ie: not retarded!)
