Hmm.. interesting.
Wonderful art and excellent layout of panels.
Now you've got me wondering about how you're going to handle the video game logic of the Sonic series and of Sonic CD in particular.. hmm..
must... have... MOOOORE @.@;;

Nice! Sonic's expressions are great. His arms seem kinda thin, though. Is that the good future in the background? I recognize elements from the good future Palmtree Panic stages, but the inking on the BG makes me think it's the bad future. I like how everything is changing to a different future, though. That zig-zag line transition is great. ... Sparkles around the goal post sign. ;D About the last panel, though. The large black panel seems a bit empty. Perhaps a different angle would've filled up the space more? Here's a concept thingy: WARNING: LOUSY HALF-ARSED DRAWING THING AHEAD

Minor correction which I'm sure you knew about but felt like pointing out regardless:
Zones are the areas, the levels inside the zones are called Acts. =o 2 Zones Later would be in Tidal Tempest. XD

XD actually, H In Sonic CD 'Zone' refered to the the levels. The term act is droped. From Green Hill Zone: There are 7 Rounds (Zones in any other Sonic game), each with three Zones (Acts in any other Sonic game). The third Zone is the boss round preceded by a small chunk of level, usually just enough to grab some Rings for the impending battle. Bosses are very different from other Sonic games: they only a few spins a piece (usually 3), but even landing a hit can be tricky, as they've got some pretty impressive defense systems.ghz.emulationzone.org/sonic/cd/sonic_cd.html

But "Zones" sound like specific areas. As opposed to "acts" which sounds kind of dumb..

I stand corrected.... and agree with Toxic, actually. =P Acts are for stageplays.
Though where does it say "Rounds"? I haven't played Sonic CD much, but I don't recall this.

It must be in the manual, because I don't think the game itslef mentions it.
Frankly I've only ever played it on the PC an it never really mattered XD
I like Zone better for the area, but if the game says it's the level then.. well.. that's what we gotta use XD

More replying in the form of sugar coated Sonic CD sweetness. God, that sounded gay. I am so gay for this game. I would suggest avoiding the special stages in the comic. After all, how do you work what happens in them into the plot? Sonic sees UFO. Sonic chases UFO. Sonic smashes UFO. Sonic gets pretty stone from UFO, repeat. I'm guessing that there will be a past zone somewhere in the comic? Perhaps you might have a gag reference to the "R2" zone? I have a great (or rubbish, depending on how it turns out) idea for the Time Stones, but I'll need to think about it a lot before I go ahead with it. Basically, what I have planned is something of a "Fight Club moment". To elaborate, Sonic has reached the good future of Metallic Madness, facing Eggman in his "triangle panel" machine, and Amy is watching anxiously from the side lines. Just before Sonic kicks his ass, Eggman threatens to use to Time Stones, which he's had for the duration of the comic, and says he'll screw up history in a really fucked up way. Sonic panics (well, to the small degree that the cool complacent Sonic can panic), but Amy reassures him to look inside his heart, "believe in himself" and shows him the good that he's done (the Good Future of the Zone looking amazing and clean) etc. Sonic does the whole concentrating thing, realising all the good he's done and how easy it is to change the past, and wills for the Stones to be in his posession. Bam. It happens in reality. Eggman is so shocked that he's totally unprepared for Sonic's finished blow to his Egg Mobile. And then, the whole place goes up in smoke etc etc. Wow, that sounds really lame when it isn't in my head. Now you've got me wondering about how you're going to handle the video game logic of the Sonic series and of Sonic CD in particular.. hmm.. Well, you'll notice that I've kept all the end of Zone markers, and Past/Future signs... how I'm gonna execute them should be pretty faithful to the in-game animations. More replies later, due to the fact that my sister is being bitchy about the PC.
