I still like Lineality (near the bottom). It's not a good game, really, but the concept alone makes it awesome.

If you didn't see a Star Control 2 post coming, then clearly you don't really know me that well.

Likewise me and Tyrian (and of course Kingdom of Loathing). But there's also: Mono and Duo by BinaryZoo: One is a self-described cross between Asteroids, Robotron, and Paint Shop Pro. The other is a freaky shmup (with added weapons management strategy!) Here's a hint: the purple weapon is the awesome one. If you have the purple weapon in Duo, you are in awesome-land.

I should try those out. =o In the meantime, a small game I mentioned in MoogCast episode 3: Hot Death Uno! A fairly NSFW variant on the classic Uno game, with several rules and many more cards added. Rules include: -Wild Draw cards can be stacked to accumulate the penalty and pass it on the next player. (So if you get a wild draw 4 played against you, stack one of your own on top of it and force the next player to draw 8. Or the player after that to draw 16. And so on.) Some of the new cards include: Hot Death - Basically a Wild Draw 8. Draw 2 Spreader - All other players on the table draw 2 cards. Magic Red 5 - Can be played on ANY card. At the end, substracts 5 points from your total score. Quitter - Next player in sequence is ejected from the current round and must take all the points in his current hand. Mutual Assured Destruction (M.A.D.) - Basically the same as Quitter, except it forces you to do the same. Best used if you haven't got many more cards in your hand. 69 - Allows you to play any 6 of any suit on any 9 of any suit, and vice versa. Obviously, can also be played on top of any such card. At the end of the hand your total score is 69, regardless of the worth of any other cards in your hand; however, it can still be changed by some of the other cards' special effects like Magic Red 5's -5 effect. Mystery Wild Draw - Draw the amount of cards it was placed on top of. (Anywhere from 0 to 9, or even the aforementioned 69) Glasnost - Forces a player of your choice to lay his hand face-up. "F- you!" - Play this to return any penalty dealt towards you back where it came from. Doubles your score at the end of the hand. Holy Defender - Play this to pass any penalty dealt towards you to the next player in sequence. Halves your score at the end of the hand. Shitter - If you have it at the end of the hand, your score will be equal to whoever has the highest score in that hand. Also, it can only be played on Magic 5 or Holy Defender, or as the last card you play. One major gripe I have with this game is that it can only be played single player against CPU opponents (as many of your choosing up to 8). It also sometimes has a tendency to cause an error in itself, ending the game. But all in all, it's pretty fun - the CPU players are a ton of laughs, too. coldflame.doorsclosing.com/stuff/HDU.zip

Downloaded a MMOish Golf Game a couple nights ago, by the name of albatross 18. Its sorta like hotshots golf, except online. Me and blaze had some fun with it the other night, and I made a super amazing shot from a bunker, strait into the hole. Got me a birdie. It was nice. Think im going to download Shot Online, now though, see what that compares to albatross. www.albatross18.comwww.shot-online.com

Erm... does anyone know where to find the last bag in the first cave in A Game with a Kitty? "Last bag"? I'm not sure which bag you're referring to. Try climbing some walls, perhaps? ;

Grid Wars. It's Geometry Wars for your computer, and looks and plays almost identically to the 360 game. I actually found it more rewarding from the power ups, although I've only played the demo of the original on Xbox live arcade. You can get it here: worldofstuart.excellentcontent.com/grid/wars.htm

I not played shot online for quite a while but I got to a good level and had an excellent setup etc.

Me and blaze and (sometimes) kyoma play albatross... more. Infact, I just uninstalled shot online. Shot is a lot more realistic, and sim-y than albatross.

Okay so I made some pretty good tips at work today and went to buy a 2gb flash drive. I'm currently at a coffee house downloading Albatross18 so I'll probably play around with it tonight. While I'm here are there any other large installers for games that people play that I should consider downloading? (Run on for the lose)

It seems everyone just got back into A18 in the past 2 weeks so you should be fine, not that I play it anymore from years ago.

I'm having quite a bit of fun with it, especially since I can't find my copy of Hot Shots golf anywhere. A tad disapointed that most of the upgrade items cost cash, but meh, its not a big deal.
