Of course they will. It would RUIN them. More likely is that they'll buy the company and/or sneakily hinder the process, so stuff happens years after it should. After all, opposing it outright might be a disasterous move, so better to do it more discreetly.

So wait, if we use Diamond technology for internets, does that mean we'll FINALLY be able to emulate Gameboy/Advance multiplayer?

Diamonds are ridiculously overpriced and overvalued as it is. Manmade Diamonds could really be a blow to this entire sham.
