<Ice_Dragon> I find it predictable, gimmicky, and cliched
What? That's what he said.

He must be confusing PA for IY.
Oh and S.cry.ed screams of "generic AS filler anime". =/

No. I find Inuyasha to be predictable, gimmicky, cliched, AND repetitive. But that's more because of who it was made by... ;D

What JJ said on both PA and S-cry-ed.

Ah, okay, here's my opinion of PA:
I watched the first episode, and I still regret wasting those 25 minutes of my life. I suppose the quality could've risen exponentially, but it was such a troubling, boring experience, I can't bring myself to watch the show again.
Scryed at least has amusing characters. The first episode of PA had one worthwhile one (the talkative detective). No. Just, no.
Edit: I just realized that my sidepic has a very similar facial expression to the one I had whilst I was watching the show.

The first ep didn't really have any sort of direction or good pacing. The next three were much better, and were great trips into the psyche of different human beings.

I'll trust Ice's judgement and my own perceptions. I mean, if I don't care about the characters, I'm certainly not going to give a damn about what they're thinking. It's very simple for me.

Eh, didn't Ice just say that he was talking about IY, not PA?
And S.cry.ed's dub and design just turned me off on the show. How can I get into the characters if I'm turned off by their voices?

I'm in Canada now, no AS for me :-( but Shaughnessy says PA is good, and Jolly verifies, and I agree with both of them about Inu Yasha. So I want to give it a try. sCRYed - I really know nothing about!

s.cry.ed is.. generic rubbish. I can't stand watching it D: PARANOIA AGENT HOWEVER is brilliance. Very interesting to watch A thing to note, Sz, is that each episode introduces new characters. (not like, y'know, final fantasy style where's it's all unrelated, but just.. different person in that city) You're not stuck with the rather boring ones from the first episode. Each episode tends to focus on one character and some sort of problem that they have XD Yeah.

I missed the first episode or two, and while I've heard the series is good, I've also heard it's hard enough to follow with all the back-and-forth jumping it does, so I'm worried I'll miss a lot if I start watching now.

I also vote in Agent's favor, its much more than meets the eye and I don't see how someone like Ice can find it predictable and cliched. Gimmicky, maybe. The rest, no.

I know how Paranoia Agent ends by virtue of having downloaded it before, and its an ending that I saw coming since the third episode or so.
I'll say this much. There IS more to the series than meets the eye, but its a kind of disappointing ending and when it hits I wouldn't be suprised if alot of you are either disappointed or will have seen it coming. I know I did because I've seen enough series that fall into this sort of genre before.
So yeah, when I can see the "big revelation" of a series coming ahead of time (mostly because the show executes it in a way that, ironically, almost beats you over the head with clues), I call it predictable.
To be honest, I'm still on the fence as far as S-cry-Ed is concerned, since they air it so late I always fall asleep in the middle, and since that dub is supposedly really bad.

I liked Paranoia Agent. Very entertaining. Bitchin' opening. And the third episode made me appreciate the series a LOT more than I already did. Fix my head, too please.
s.cry.ed reminds me WAY too f***ing much of Canidate for Godess. Although I still watch it for some reason. Probably because it isn't mech fight oriented. Hmm. EMO-tasm.
Inu Yasha is entertaining, so I watch it. Although the gang seems relativly homophobic...which is not all that fun.
You like what you like, and don't what you don't. Simple as that.
