I like to keep all my old stuff as a testament to the turmoil the nation went thru when all these things came out. Imagine 15 years from now, we'll be asking if we should toss our 360s or PS3's that are collecting dust. Seems insane, right?! Trophies to me and whomever purchased them.

Heh, that's cool. While I don't have need for any more consoles, I'm always up for a few more interesting games..... but I'd feel bad just mooching 'em off of you like that, though... I mean, I know you're trying to get rid of stuff, but at the very least, is there anything I should keep an eye out for in return; some Dreamcast games you've been looking for, perhaps? I could always check at my local 2nd hand Game store, they still have a whole rack full of DC games; even Non-Euro region ones.

I like to keep all my old stuff as a testament to the turmoil the nation went thru when all these things came out. Imagine 15 years from now, we'll be asking if we should toss our 360s or PS3's that are collecting dust. Seems insane, right?! Trophies to me and whomever purchased them. Well, you see, I don't really care about the consoles themselves. Sure, I respect them and remember them as the great gaming systems they were (and still are to some degree), but I've always been about the games. I got my SNES for the singular reason that I wanted to play the original Star Fox and my Genesis was bought for Sonic. The Dreamcast is only meaningful to me because of how much money was put into me having one. I have had three fully paid for Dreamcasts and three copies of Sonic Adventure(since the game was in the system both times), and so there's a little extra attachment and value there. There comes a point where sentiment has to give way to practicality, and it's just not practical for me to keep them, and in a way, I think of it as kind of selfish. I don't use them, but there are some people, like Ink, for example, who never got to own a Genesis. If I can give her that chance to enjoy one, then I am more than happy to do so. If I get desperate to play Sonic again, and my ethical side refuses to let me use Emulation, I can just buy the Gamecube ports, which I've heard are pretty much spot on. Hell, I can even play Sonic CD, and Sonic Fighters, neither of which I've ever had a chance to play on a console. H: Well, as far as games go, I'm fairly limited. My Genesis and GBA are spoken for, and naturally the games go with them. I have some older Game Boy games hidden around here somewhere, I think.. but nothing particularly remarkable. I never really had the money to buy a lot of games. The SNES may be spoken for (and its games along with it), but since it looks to be not working (just shows a black screen), I may be able to offer up some of the games from it.. if that would even work.. were the SNES's regionalized? Do you even have an SNES? XD As I locate more stuff, I'll update my list. If you want to offer a trade, that's fine. I just don't feel any need to get anything back. Still up for grabs: Game Boy Pocket Game Boy Color Pokemon Yellow (only Pokemon game I'm willing to let go of XD) Game Boy Camera Gex for the GBC Game Shark for the Game Boy and Color Super Return of the Jedi (Game Boy) James Bond 007 (Game Boy)

As far as GBA and Genesis are concerned; allrighty. I can understand that. =P And yep, I got a SNES, as well as a region converter - so that's not a problem, either. Ahwell, we'll see how that goes, then.
And well, you know... if there's nothing you WANT in return, then that's that... but if there's anything you want me to keep an eye out for, just say the word.

SNESes are freakin' hard to break, so I'd guess yours is most likely just dusty from neglect because you are a bad person D=... ... Well, okay, not a bad person, but being I've bought three units from Goodwill and took apart two with no ill effects (I swapped discolored parts) it's sturdy if anything. The SNES region thing (as usual) only really makes it a pain to play between PAL and NTSC. Most US and JP games are barred from playing on foreign systems because of the cartridge shape. I carved out the groove notches on my ugly system and it works perfectly for NTSC games. Previously I just used a Game Genie as a simple passthrough. Sadly PAL games won't work because of actually interacting with a region lock chip. If I disable it, the damned thing won't run Super Mario RPG, among other things. You should be able to guess my position of system retention... I have three working SNESes, technically three working NESes (I'm trying to sell a top-loader, but that never goes well), a Genesis 32x CD and a Mega Drive w/ CD. Plus I keep the really old Genesis that is lonely for the sole purpose of playing the few games the 32x interferes with, IE Virtua Racing. My 32x actually WORKS because I never remove the damned thing. It has never been removed since its insertion like... uh... I don't remember when . They were on clearence at TRU, d00d.

XD What're you charging for your top-loader, Angst? Those things usually go like hotcakes on ebay, don't they?

Not so much because people are stupid and like to go for the cheaper but screwed-up knockoff ones...
I dunno what I'd want =\. I'm kinda sour on Ebay at the moment, so... meh.

You wont get much money for selling off SNES games. Not unless he owns any of Squaresoft's, Enix's or any other game that is a RPG.
