You don't think with the proper advetising and word of mouth that it couldn't sell 600,000K in it's lifetime?
Personally, a bit over 100,000K is what I would expect it to do in the first month.

I suppose if you put it like that...
Still though, I'm pessimistic when it comes to these things.

Still though, I'm pessimistic when it comes to these things. So I take it you are expecting the eventual bombing of Abyss here? Crap, now I'm derailing this topic. XD

Hey guys remember Psychonauts that game sure sold well. What does that game have to do with this topic? Just because it's quirky and fun does not mean under any circumstance that it will sell well. Nintendo's likely not wanting to port Mother here for a handful of reasons, but likely because they want it to sell. It's not like that they won't introduce any established-in-Japan franchises to the US, they introduced us to Advance Wars and Fire Emblem...

Just because it's quirky and fun does not mean under any circumstance that it will sell well. And yet they also released Electroplankton, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, Brain Age, and Big Brain Academy in the West anyway. The only game out of those that did poorly was Electroplankton and that was because it was only avalible to purchase online and there was hardly any advertising. And all those games are even non-standard than an RPG. Also to note, Psychonauts never had the large fanbase Mother developed over the years. And they kept Band Brothers, Kuru Kuru Kururin, Rhythm Heaven, Bit Generations and many more games out of reach in North America.

Like what the hell are you jumping around for fool? Huh what nothing i was just playing on my wii WTF?? So id rather play the same games such as soniv on 360/ps3. ...and what does this have to do with ANYTHING mentioned in this topic? well that i think its no problem that its not coming out but who cares cause ist wii and the controls seem wack for every single game

... except for the fact that Mother 3 is a GBA game and has nothing to do with the Wii, and your opinion is pretty baseless anyway :[

Ignoring the fact that it's NOT for Wii.. not everyone hates the controls Wii allows like you, good sir. Personally I rather like the setup, but that really has nothing to do with this topic either way.

My personal belief is that Nintendo of America just abandoned first-party GBA Dev entirely when the DS was shown to be successful in the market. (if I recall, many supposed GBA projects moved to DS, and the fact that these are not being translated yet... muh.)

And Kiddo, they started to abandon the GBA when it kept outselling the DS.
