I worked at an integrated overpriced restaurant thing at the local aquarium in my old town when I was 14. (It was legal to hire for certain jobs there starting at 14) I LASTED TWO DAYS Made 70 bucks. Was worth the time, IMO!

Subway is a better job than McDonalds =| Oh hell no, I used to work at one before I got a good job. He only paid me $5.15 an hour and had me do erronous tasks when he had no business.

So does this mean you'll give me free chicken nuggets? =D *kicked*
(... Out of all the places I've eaten nuggets at, MacD has the best IMO >>)

I dunno. I got tired of McD's Nuggets awhile ago. Generally, I enjoy Wendy's, but Burger King is nice every once and awhile.

Working at McDonalds sucks so much. If you want a glimpse of how hell feels, well, there you go.
I feel for you, Matrixx. I had to do that last summer. It probably differs between restaurants, but conversation wasn't allowed, pausing for 2 seconds to think wasn't allowed, and naturally they expected every employee to run around like their ass was on fire for their entire shift. I mean, I hate the job I have now, but I like it about infinity times better than I did working at McDonalds. My grasp of the english language isn't great enough to explain quantity of suck that job was. (I was working at a busy one, though... I've heard things are a bit more relaxed and less torturous at one that gets a little less business)
I mean, you don't even get free food, unless you steal it. They give you like a $4 limit for your lunch, which was normally sometime between 9-10 AM on a 7-3 or 8-4 shift for me. Fantastic.

it all tastes like grease anyway...
'Do you want a double grease burger?
Would you like a large grease to go with it? Maybe a hot apple grease over?'
I worked at a Burger King for, I think, two years and for that time I remember two distinct things:
1: The Smell
For those two years and many moths after I quit, I smelt like grease.... not just any grease either, old meat grease. The stench of stale meat juice is still with me, engraved into my mind as the number one worst smell in history. I think it killed my desire to ever again eat fast food (although I do when I have no other option).
2: The Fryers
The fryers, in which we cooked everything short of the biscuits, eggs and meat, were the most horrible machines ever made. IF they were human, they would be sado-masochists on diets. They would enjoy pain and want to spread their joy throughout the world in a massive hot-grease spray that would end all life as we know it.
I even heard them in my sleep!! That horrible beeping... it wouldn't stop... just constant beeping..
beep beep beep beep beep over and over and over!!
beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!
AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!!

Don't tell me what they put in thier food, I went without food for over (but that was only half a breakfast so technically it was nearly 22 hours =/) ten hours on tuesday as the bus broke down and I had to eat at the only food place in the middle of nowhere, a bloody Mcdonalds, I swore never to eat at an americian fast food place ever again, they are unhealthy and gross, but I was forced to pay out of my own wallet, damn you to hell evil fatty amercian fast food places!

I'm shooting for either some sort of janitorial job, computer place internship, or a bookstore.
I really don't like dealing with people all that much, except with computers. I'm a great people-person when I'm manic.

Well, my training starts TODAY and will continue for three days.. ._.
My assistant manager is cool though. In my first interview we talked about how 2D graphics in video games are underappreciated.

Sep, aren't Subways franchised? Meaning the manager of any given location can pretty much do whatever the hell he/she wants?
Also, Keith, did that guy's arm get all covered in hot grease and breading and whatnot? Then, did he snap it off and eat it? That would have been so awesome.

Well, I just got back from training, and I was pleasantly suprised. All the managers are friendly and laid back (they never even mentioned my hair) and I got free fries :3
As for training, today all I really did was watch videos on the computer for four hours and listen to the employees complain XD But tomorrow I'll actually start doing stuff.
And one of my fellow employees is a girl I knew in middle school. This is good, because she was the only person in the whole school I didn't loathe.

That sounds promising. Typically if your coworkers are cool, the job isn't so bad.
